Yeah, I remember having a conversation with my cousin when she lived in Manhattan about pajamas and I said how I usually just slept in the shirt I wore that day and she'd be like, "yeah, you can't really do that in New York because it's so dirty. Your clothes just feel dirty." Sweet.

Dude. Nice to know you've graduated to reality you starry-eyed little moo man. (grin) And I've dipped more than a toe into Infinite Jest. I'm almost halfway up to my calf to be precise.

At first read, I thought you were talking about apoptosis (programmed cell death, or more excitingly known as cell suicide). Your post read quite differently from my wayward perspective. I finished Thornton Wilder's "The Bridge of San Luis Rey" and lets just say I feel a rather long-winded missive coming on....

The first time I was in Vegas, I was eighteen years old and too young to gamble. I tried a few slots but got kicked out by the pit boss. I ate a buffet and went to bed.

The second I was in Vegas, I had just spent four days camping in the Grand Canyon. I was covered in dust and grime, and only had the kinds of clothes you pack for camping and hiking. I lost sixty dollars in six hands at blackjack, and had 36 hours to kill without any money. The friends we met up with were dressed in suits and looking to hit the clubs. We were in shorts and Tevas. So instead, we went back to the room, watched HBO, and left Vegas 24 hours earlier than scheduled.

I refuse to go back.
